I need something that looks professional. I don't want a search bar in my header, nor do I want links. I just want an image header that has the title of my site, a small slogan, and perhaps a design in the background to give the header some character.
I also need a logo tutorial.

My advise, download a program called AAA Logo, it's not large I think it's less than 50MB. It's not free so you'll have to Rapidshare it. It has virtually more than 50 000 images, templates for everything, signs, logos, samples etc (everything). So I don't advise that you waste time on Photoshop, a program that requires learning, constantly. Don't do it manually, do it automatically with - AAA Logo!
